Annenberg Alchemy, the Annenberg Foundation’s free training program for nonprofit leaders, is accepting applications now through October 31, 2013, for its 2014 Leadership Seminar training sessions.

Previously available only to nonprofit organizations located in Los Angeles County, Leadership Seminar is now open to nonprofits from Ventura, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties, as well. The sole cost of admission is the attendance of both the executive director and board chair during the three days of training.

“Our region has challenges that don’t stop at county lines,” said Sylia Obagi, Director of Operations for the Annenberg Foundation. “We’re expanding so that more organizations can use our training to achieve financial sustainability and increase their effectiveness.”

Annenberg Alchemy has trained over 1,700 leaders from more than 700 nonprofit organizations since 2006, producing dramatic results. Fundraising increased an average of $81,445 in the year after their Leadership Seminar training, according to a survey of 155 organizations.

About Leadership Seminar

Leadership Seminar, Annenberg Alchemy’s signature course, focuses on unifying the leadership of nonprofit organizations, offering practical guidance on fundraising, board effectiveness, civic engagement and accountability. The seminar occurs over three days: two consecutive, full days of training and another day of training approximately 90 days later. This 90-day period allows program attendees to begin to implement the lessons learned.

Leadership Seminar graduates are eligible to attend Alchemy+, Annenberg Alchemy’s advanced training course. Successful completion of both programs qualifies an organization for a capacity building grant up to $10,000.

How to Apply
