Major California foundations issue a report outlining their grantmaking and activities which support minority and low-income communities

A group of California Foundation known as the Foundation Coalition has been working together since June 2008 on grantmaking and community activities focused on the needs of minority-led and small grassroots nonprofits that serve minority populations.  Their report “Strengthening Nonprofit Leadership and the Capacity of Minority-Led and Other Grassroots Community-Based Organizations” outlines their planning process and the initial grantmaking activities of the foundations.
