The Annenberg Foundation and KCRW are pleased to announce the lineup for Sound in Focus, a free, all-ages concert series inspired by the Emerging exhibition at the Annenberg Space for Photography.  Organized in partnership with Photo District News (PDN), the award-winning publication for professional photographers, Emerging presents images by more than 90 emerging photographers from around the world who bring fresh perspectives and creative techniques to professional photography. This exhibition explores how a new generation of photographers examines a variety of topics, from the personal to the global: youth culture, family, the environment, economic uncertainty, conflict and civil unrest, and the nature of the photographic image.

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 22, 2015) - The Annenberg Space for Photography Skylight Studios today announced the June 6 opening of Emerging Experience The multimedia installation, which includes a Gravity Room, is a playful and engaging experience that merges fantasy and reality.  Imagery will focus on three different themes:  Taste (June 6 - July 12), Sound (July 13 - August 16) and Style (August 17 - September 20). Work by artists who are challenging photographic boundaries and embracing new social media movements will be featured.Emerging Experience celebrates the latest talents and trends, as well as crowd-sourced digital content.

NASHVILLE, TN (April 23, 2015) – Country music stars and Music Row notables joined an elite group of photographers last night at the 2015 Nashville Film Festival for the world premiere of Country: Portraits of an American Sound. Produced and directed by Steven Kochones for the Annenberg Space for Photography, the full-length documentary is a vivid exploration of Country music through the lens of the photographers who have documented its rise from innocent beginnings to a thriving industry and a national identity.
