The Annenberg Foundation is Honored to Announce Its Continued Support of CARE France

Over this coming year, the grant funds will be used to assist in several of the nonprofit's humanitarian programs. These include the improvement of socio-economic conditions and the quality of the environment for 1,120 farm families in Nicaragua through climate change mitigation measures; and the development of dissemination techniques and systems enabling rural communities in Haiti to improve food security, by integrating and adopting land use planning and conservation agriculture principles. In addition, CARE France will work to improve basic food availability and access, as well as appropriate consumption of basic food for 1,000 small farm families In eight rural towns in the departments of La Paz and Intibucá, Honduras.
Past grants made by the Annenberg Foundation to CARE France have provided relief for natural disasters such as the 2010 earthquake in Haiti and the 2005 tsunami in Southeast Asia. General funding to the organization has also been designated for the improvement of the lives of individuals and families in poverty-stricken communities.
CARE is an international humanitarian relief organization that works to fight poverty around the globe. It has a presence in over 70 countries.
