Messages from our Trustees

The following projects reflect the Foundation's vision and direct involvement in implementing this vision:

Annenberg Capacity Building Initiatives
The Annenberg Foundation is expanding its capacity building initiatives to offer more robust support of community based nonprofit organizations and their leaders throughout Los Angeles with the creation of its new program, Alchemy. Leadership Seminar trainings remain an integral part of Alchemy. Project Grantsmanship is also a continuing capacity building initiative offered by the Foundation.

The Pennsylvania High School Coaching Initiative (PAHSCI)
The Pennsylvania High School Coaching Initiative (PAHSCI) is a distinctive school reform design - centered on “instructional coaching and mentoring” - developed to improve student achievement and to spark effective education reform nationwide.  Formed in 2005 as a partnership between The Annenberg Foundation and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, PAHSCI represents a $31 million, three-year investment in high school instructional coaching and mentoring.

The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Leadership Institute and the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Public Service Speakers Bureau
Working with the nonprofit, nonpartisan Partnership for Public Service, the Annenberg Foundation has established two programs to help revitalize our federal workforce: the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Leadership Institute and the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Public Service Speakers Bureau. These initiatives will directly tackle two of the greatest challenges facing our federal workforce – the leadership gap and the knowledge gap.
