Once completed, the 90,000 square foot Wallis Annenberg Hall at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism on the University of Southern California campus will feature networked, media-saturated classrooms and laboratories configured in a flexible way to take advantage of future technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning. The entire building will be filled with the latest technologies, equipment, and collaborative spaces to incubate new ideas, promote experimentation, and provide a home for cutting-edge concepts and the school’s entrepreneurial ideas.

The Wallis Annenberg Fund for Innovation was established through a $5 million grant to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. The Wallis Annenberg Fund for Innovation supports a multi-faceted, multi-year program of initiatives to strengthen MoMA’s efforts to explore and advance contemporary art.

Walliis' support provided LACMA the opportunity to acquire The Marjorie and Leonard Vernon Collection, a group of more than 3,500 prints<\/span> that forms one of the finest histories of photography and collections of masterworks from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. <\/p>\r\n

The Annenberg Community Beach House opened on April 26, 2009 and provides public access to a beautiful, multi-faceted facility offering swimming (both pool and beach), volleyball and beach tennis courts, children's play areas, event & meeting spaces, classes and other recreational opportunities. Wallis Annenberg's interest and generosity in the form of a $27.5 million grant paved the way for the historic site's rehabilitation and reuse.
