The Annenberg Space for Photography has announced the lineup of speakers for their popular IRIS Nights lecture series presented in conjunction with the upcoming WAR/PHOTOGRAPHY: Images of Armed Conflict and Its Aftermath exhibition.

The Annenberg Space for Photography’s exhibition documentary, WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLL: The Film, has been selected as an official entry in the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival in the category of "Shorts in Competition: Documentary."

WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLL: The Film celebrates the ground-breaking collaborations between the photographers and recording artists who came together to create some of the most enduring images in rock history. This is the second consecutive year that original content from the Annenberg Space for Photography has been accepted into competition at the renowned festival.

New Interpretive Center Proposed at Ballona Wetlands

The Annenberg Foundation has joined with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), the State Coastal Conservancy (SCC) and the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission (SMBRC) in their restoration efforts at the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve by funding area C South, a 30-acre zone bounded by Ballona Creek to the southeast, the 90 Freeway to the northeast, Culver Boulevard to the west and the Culver Boulevard/Lincoln Boulevard interchange to the southwest.

LASVP “Fast Pitch” Competition Awards Four Nonprofits Over $100,000 in Prizes. Event Held on First-Ever Official Nonprofit Day in LA.

Led by philanthropist Wallis Annenberg, the Annenberg Foundation Alchemy Peer to Peer event gathered more than 1,200 nonprofit leaders, funders and government officials to salute the contributions of Los Angeles’ nonprofit organizations and to watch the final rounds of the Social Innovation Fast Pitch competition at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles.

The top honors of the competition went to L.A. Diaper Drive, a nonprofit that distributes diapers and offers parenting education to low-income families.
